Style project: Royal birthday party

Today I'd love to share my latest party styling project. The brief was a Royal Birthday party.
My client's daughter had asked for a Princess party, but her mum thought something a little bit more gender neutral would be better. (Just as an aside - I love her way of thinking!) Out of this, the idea of a Royal party came about.

I put together a plan and ideas for the party, starting off by setting some colours that were gender neutral, but pretty - and Royal!

Some ideas for the grand entrance:

A pretty but neutral palate for decorative items, with some added wow factors, such as these balloons - 2 giant round helium balloons in peach and a big gold number 3 balloon. Wow factors don't need to be pricey - for around $25 these 3 pieces make a great backdrop idea not only for the dessert table, but for photos as well.

Some great Royal crafty ideas ...

I so enjoyed styling this party!
